Linum publishes JiT-DDT text-to-image research checkpoint
The 2.5B-parameter diffusion transformer generates 512×512 images directly in pixel space, without a VAE. Code and weights use Apache 2.0; the research checkpoint lacks post-training, and no training pipeline is included.
The documented inference setup uses a CUDA GPU with about 24 GB of memory and roughly 18 GB of disk space for the model cache.

Nordic opens nRF54LC10A sampling for compact wireless devices
The SoC combines a 128 MHz Cortex-M33, 1 MB NVM and 192 KB RAM with Bluetooth LE Channel Sounding, Thread and Zigbee. Matter support targets simple sensors within its memory limits. Production is expected in Q2 2027.
Prototype access requires Nordic's project review; development kits are expected to reach general availability in Q1 2027.

ESPHome 2026.9.0 adds encrypted OTA firmware updates
The release adds Noise encryption to OTA transfers and can reuse the API encryption key. Upgrading from older firmware still sends that first update in plaintext. An explicit OTA encryption block makes encrypted uploads mandatory.
Mandatory encryption protects Wi-Fi credentials and API keys embedded in firmware from passive interception during subsequent network updates.

Nextcloud Hub 26 Summer expands photo-library tools
The self-hosted suite's Photos app gains map browsing, automatic trip grouping, adjustable grid density, slideshows and yearly recaps. It also supports optional video transcoding for browser playback.
Library dates and locations can be corrected without rewriting original photo files.

GitHub adds bulk SSO authorization for classic tokens and SSH keys
Enterprise Cloud adds an API for enterprise-installed GitHub Apps to authorize an existing classic PAT or SSH key for up to 50 organizations per request. It requires enterprise-level SSO, an opt-in setting and enterprise_credentials:write; the credential owner must belong to each organization.
Rotation workflows can reauthorize automation credentials by token ID or SSH fingerprint across organizations, without passing credential secrets to the app.
