Anthropic partners with Accenture on embedded AI evaluation
Faculty, Accenture's AI business, will assess Anthropic models, alignment and safeguards from inside the lab. Anthropic will fund the work directly. Operational details remain under development, with no settled standards for evaluator access or reporting.
Evaluators are intended to observe training and deployment decisions with access comparable to employees, enabling scrutiny of how models are developed.

Researchers synthesize nanoscale regions of porous carbon diamondiyne
A Gothenburg-led team produced diamondiyne in a film formed where two liquids meet. Electron microscopy confirmed its three-dimensional carbon structure only in small surface patches, including ordered regions measuring about 10 nanometres on each side.
The method enables laboratory study without high-pressure synthesis; the material's properties and possible applications remain to be investigated.

NASA selects SpaceX to launch the StarBurst gamma-ray satellite
NASA awarded SpaceX launch services for StarBurst, a small satellite designed to detect short gamma-ray bursts from neutron star mergers. It will fly on a Falcon 9 Bandwagon rideshare from Cape Canaveral no earlier than 2028.
StarBurst observations are intended to be combined with gravitational-wave measurements and telescope follow-ups to study neutron star mergers.
