Grok 4.7 launches in the API, Cursor and Grok Build
The model accepts text and images within a 500,000-token context window and produces text. Pricing starts at $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output tokens. The Fast variant is limited to Cursor and Grok Build.
API integrations can select four reasoning effort levels; prompts above 200,000 tokens incur higher rates.

NIH announces $88 million for human-based research infrastructure
Ten construction projects across nine states will support alternatives to animal-based research. NIH also plans a laboratory combining standardized human organoids, robotics and AI, alongside a quantum sensing challenge offering over $7 million in prizes.
The planned laboratory will let researchers test clinical questions in reproducible human biological systems using automated experiments.

ESA commissions two architecture studies for EU Earth observation service
ICEYE and Leonardo will lead separate consortia studying the future Earth Observation Governmental Service. Results are expected in 2027; the EU programme is planned to begin in 2028. The awards fund design studies, not an operational satellite service.
The studies will define options for satellites, ground infrastructure, data processing and distribution to support EU security and defence users.
